Ingredients
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
3 tsp minced garlic
garlic powder
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup flour
kosher salt and black pepper
red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Whisk together garlic, honey, soy sauce, 1 tbsp olive oil, and hoisin sauce in a small bowl. Set aside for later.
Place chicken breasts on cutting board and cover with plastic wrap. Pound the chicken into about 1/2 inch thickness.
Cut chicken breasts into pieces. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Put the chicken pieces in a gallon sized plastic bag. Add the flour and seal the bag. Shake the chicken to coat it evenly with flour.
Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about three minutes, flip the pieces over and cook for another three minutes.
Add the minced garlic (and red pepper flakes if using) and cook for two minutes.
Turn the heat down to medium. Add the honey garlic sauce. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Serve with jasmine rice.
